Over 100 candidates registered in uninominal constituencies

Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/- Over one hundred candidates have so far been registered in uninominal constituencies.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, the period for submitting applications for registration as a candidate both in the national constituency and in the uninominal ends on 24 January.

At the same time, the Commission announced that 401 groups had been registered by the end of the period for submitting documents for the registration of initiative groups to support candidates for the position of MP in the 51 uninominal constituencies.

Parliamentary elections will be held on 24 February according to a mixed electoral system, the MPs will be elected both on party lists and in constituencies.
