Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/- Political parties and independent candidates will be able to benefit from interest-free loans for holding the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections of 24 February 2019. An order laying down the rules for granting credits will be published tomorrow in the Official Journal of Moldova.

According to the order signed by Finance Minister Ion Chicu, the credits will be allocated from the state budget. Thus, the political parties will be able to receive loans of maximum 50 thousand lei and the independent candidates - 10 thousand lei.

The document also sets the rules for the refund of money. Thus, electoral candidates who will get less than three per cent of the votes, will return the financial means within 2 months after elections. Other candidates will have 4 months.

The order will come into force on its publication.
