Moldovan authorities to implement more actions for promoting employment of labour force

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - People looking for jobs will benefit for free from trainings and professional training courses and the employment of some categories of jobless people will be subsidized by the state. The concerned provisions are contained in a cabinet decision published in the today’s issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).   

The decision contains 11 new procedures on access to measures of employment of labour force. It sees the subsidization of jobs meant for persons in need of additional support on the labour market. Thus, the employer will monthly receive 30 per cent of the average salary on the economy during six months for each jobless person employed.  

Employers who create or adapt jobs meant for disabled people will benefit from support as well. Fifty per cent of their expenses will be compensated by the national employment agency. Also, the Agency will back the unemployed people who start a business – they will receive consultancy, as well as financial assistance of 50 per cent for compensating the expenses for the registration of the enterprise, endowing spaces and purchasing equipments.    

At the same time, the persons due to get employed in another settlement but the one where they live will receive an allowance of one average monthly salary. Those who change their residence in the settlement where the job is placed will benefit from an allowance worth five average monthly salaries on the economy.

The document also establishes that the size of the unemployment benefit will be calculated depending on the length of pensionable service and the average monthly income of the person on the previous period.

The decision will enter into force on 10 February 2019.
