PM, Romanian Diaspora minister participate in opening of spring festival in Moldova’s central district city

Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip and the Minister of Romanian Diaspora, Natalia Elena Intotero, have attended the opening of Martisor Festival in Straseni today, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The PM congratulated everyone on the occasion of the spring celebration, noting that Martisor is a symbol of renewal and hope. "Martisor is an important tradition for Romanian area, first of all, because when we put the trinkets on the chest, we put it because we are Romanians. I said it not once, that we must be closely linked to each other and have a union throughout deeds. I did not doubt for a moment that traditions, our roots, our identity are very important for Straseni," said PM.

At her part, Natalia Elena Intotero, emphasised upon the importance of further development of twinning projects and assured the Government in Chisinau with all the support. "We have enjoyed each time we participated in signing cooperation agreements between the counties of Romania and the districts of Moldova. We assure you of all our support and involvement in the future. Have a spring with accomplishments. Be a government the way you want it. God bless for the good of Moldova," said Minister of Romanian Diaspora.

There were signed two bilateral cooperation agreements at the event: between Straseni district and Hunedoara county in Romania and between the Straseni district council and a Volunteer Association in Italy.
