Moldovan tax body imposed fines of about 500,000 lei for many flower merchants

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) has imposed fines amounting to about 500 thousand lei for many flower traders who have admitted violations.

The sanctions were imposed after tax officers carried out 135 inspections at several flower merchants across the country on 18 March-5 April 2019.

Thus, in Chisinau, 65 tax inspections were carried out and fines worth 135 thousand lei and contravention sanctions amounting to about 22 thousand lei. Traders in the north of the country have been fined over 150,000 lei following 28 operative tax checks.

Flower sellers in the centre of the country have been fined amounting to about 100,000 lei. In the south, 22 tax inspections were carried out and fines of over 60,000 lei were applied.

The SFS recommends all taxpayers to comply with tax and operate in accordance with the legislation in force.
