Moldovan cabinet approves decision on pre-notification of 65 civil servants whose offices are to be liquidated

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a decision by which 65 high-level civil servants will be notified that their offices are liquidated. On the list, there are 33 persons holding the positions of state secretary generals and 32 heads and deputy heads at the territorial offices of the State Chancellery.   

Under the decision, four offices of state secretary general and state secretary are to be liquidated at the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry and Finance Ministry, six offices of secretary at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, five ones – at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry and Education, Culture and Research Ministry each, three ones – at the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry and two positions at the Justice Ministry, Defence Ministry and Interior Ministry each.   

According to amendments recently made to certain legislative acts, “the government, in a three-month period, given the liquidation of the public offices of government’s secretary general, state secretary general, state secretary, head and deputy head of the State Chancellery’s territorial office, is to undertake needed measures according to the law, including the carrying out of legal procedures concerning the dismissal of the concerned persons from office,” the government’s explanation reads.      

On the period of pre-notification, it is established that the working schedule for the concerned people is cut by up to two hours daily, without the diminution of the salary.
