Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ – The MPs have met, on Wednesday, 31 July, at the last session of the spring – summer session of Parliament. At its end, the leaders of factions have presented the balance sheet of the session. Tomorrow, The MPs will be officially on leave on 01 August. SP Zinaida Greceanii has said that in spring – summer session, the MPs have met in 16 plenary sessions and there have been adopted 76 legislative acts, out of which 19 laws and 57 decisions. The leader of the faction of the Socialists' party of Moldova (PSRM), Vlad Batrincea, has said that Government will do everything possible for citizens to regain their confidence in state institutions. "The citizens are expecting much more from us than we have done in recent months. We shall return with new projects in autumn,” said Batrincea, who has added that the Socialists' MPs will not go on vacation, but continue to work.

Also, the leader of faction ACUM Platform DA, Alexandru Slusari, has said that MPs cannot afford to disappoint the citizens, which are waiting for justice in all areas, but "it requires time and honest officials". "All the thieves which have impoverished you will be held accountable, and the files put to naphthalene will be reopened," has said Slusari.

At his part, leader of the PAS faction, block ACUM, Igor Grosu, has said that the expectations of citizens are high, and the citizens want changes and reforms in all areas, but it requires time, discretion and professionalism. "We came to Parliament not to mime reforms, not to make personalised or dedicated laws or play with the fate of country, as other Governments have done. Our common goal is to de – delegate the state and bring Moldova on the path of normality, on the path to integration in EU”, has said Grosu. Both Alexandru Slusari and Igor Grosu have stated that MPs from the factions they lead will not go on leave.

The head of faction of the Democrats' party (PDM), Dumitru Diacov, has urged all MPs to work in the interest of state. "None of you won the election. Why do you behave so arrogant and give lessons? You are in Government, we applaud you. Even today I voted the head of CNA, yesterday I voted the prosecutor. We have no problem, we shall help you make order in the country," said Diacov.

"The country must benefit from the knowledge and competence of each member. This is possible only in a Parliament where respect dominates. The citizens are looking at us with hope and expect at least this Parliament to be better, more competent," said the member of Shor party faction, Marina Tauber.

According to Constitution, the spring – summer session of Parliament begins in February and cannot exceed the end of July. Also, it can also meet in extraordinary or special sessions, at the request of President, SP or 1/3 of MPs.
