Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has partially accepted the request for a review of the regulatory price requested by company Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) and decided, after debates in the public meeting, an increase of 16.7 per cent of the price for electricity supplied to the population by FEE Nord.

According to the decision of ANRE, the price of electricity provided by FEE Nord to domestic consumers was set at MDL 2.23 for kWh, MDL 0.10 less than requested the electricity supplier from the north of Moldova. For the final consumers, whose installations are connected to the electricity networks of medium voltage distribution (06 – 10 kV), a price of MDL 1.63 for kWh was established, against the request of the company of MDL 2.09.

The new regulated prices will take effect from the date of publication, it was announced in the public meeting of ANRE.

Also, the administration of company FEE Nord has been warned that the costs incurred by the company and production costs are much higher, than in the case of other companies, as a result, the regulated prices for the energy delivered to final consumers are higher.

The recent adjustment of electricity tariffs was operated by ANRE on 15 June 2018, when it was decided, after public debates, to reduce from MDL 2.12 to MDL 1.91/kWh the electricity tariff provided to domestic consumers from the north of Moldova.
