Energy efficiency agency launches annual contest Moldova Eco Energetica

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Energy Efficiency Agency (AEE) has launched, on 19 August, with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), contest Moldova Eco Energetica, issue 2019. The deadline of receiving the applications is until 01 October 2019.

Out of the total number of participants, it will be selected 15 finalists, which will take part in a series of trainings, sessions in the field of entrepreneurship, and later there will be awarded 05 finalists in an event. There will be awarded 05 prizes in the following categories: The best entrepreneurship initiative in agricultural sector; The best entrepreneurial initiative in the IT sector; best entrepreneurial initiative in the transport sector; best entrepreneurial initiative in industry and best entrepreneurial initiative launched by women in energy sector. For the award of winners, it has been allocated a budget of $50,000 yearly.

The competition prizes will be awarded by UNIDO in November 2019.

Moldova Eco Energetica, issue 2019, is part of programme: Clean Technology Innovation Programme for SMEs and Startups in Moldova and it has as a general objective of identification and promotion of entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in the most important sectors of the national economy. Over a period of 03 years, it will be awarded 15 startups with a total amount of $150,000.

Moldova Eco Energetica has been organised since 2011 and it is the biggest event of the year, which aims to promote energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in Moldova.
