Women wishing to develop business can get grants of up to 165 thousand lei

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/- Women who want to develop their business can get grants worth up to 165 thousand lei. The Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM) launched the fourth call for projects under Component II of the pilot program Women in business (PFA).

According to ODIMM, the competition is open to women managing a business that was created in the last 24 months, especially in rural areas. Files can be submitted online until 20 September.

The winners will receive a non-refundable grant of up to 165 thousand lei, money offered from the state budget and from the European Union. Of the total amount, 110 thousand lei are meant for investments in the purchase of equipment and software, and the remaining 55 thousand lei for business development services: research, training and promotion.

So far, 282 investment projects have received grant funding under the three calls of the program.

The pilot program Women in Business was launched in autumn 2016 and has implementation period of three years. The initiative aims to promote economic and social skills in rural areas by reducing gender inequality, growing and developing businesses, changing innovative perceptions, increasing access to modern resources, services and technologies.
