Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/- The National Commission of the Financial Market (CNPF) announces that on 8 September 2019, the procedure of amicable finding of car accident will be implemented. Under this procedure, drivers involved in a road accident can use the Friendly accident finding form in relation to insurance companies without the necessary documentation to the police.

According to a press release of CNPF, drivers can get the form from the insurance companies (insurance intermediaries) to which they have purchased the RCA policy. The procedure for the amicable finding of the vehicle accident can be applied to all road accidents occurring in Moldova, in which only two vehicles were involved and which resulted in only insignificant material damages, amounting to ten thousand lei.

CNPF also notes that the form will be filled in only if both drivers involved in the accident have RCA insurance, the damage is not more than 10 thousand lei and the person responsible for producing the accident is set out in the form. Otherwise, the accident will be documented by police.

The procedure of amicable finding of car accident will be valid only for the domestic auto liability insurance policies, while for holders of the Green Card certificate, the procedure will be possible in early 2020.

According to the data of the RCA Data State Automated Information System, during 2008, 8611 cases on damages were managed and solved (related to accidents in 2018). Of all cases managed by insurers, in 5163 files (60 percent of cases), the amount of the compensation amounted to 10 thousand lei.
