National Health Insurance Company launches information system for reporting, recording medical services

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/- The National Health Insurance Company / CNAM / announced today that it has launched an information system that allows citizens to make online appointments to medical services.
According to the CNAM press service, the implementation of the digital system aims to increase transparency in providing health services and use funds for them, enhance the efficiency of these services, to monitor the provision of high-performance medical services and improve quality of data reporting to CNAM.
This system will be used by late 2019 in pilot regime by the medical institutions contracted by CNAM, as well as by the citizens.
Thus, when accessing the information system, the doctors will be able to identify the person in the CNAM database, to check their insured or uninsured status, and if insured patient - to fill in online the ticket to advanced medical services.
The list of advanced medical services includes functional diagnostic services, medical imaging, radiodiagnostic investigations, intra-articular diagnostics, diagnostic endoscopy, audiological examination, ophthalmological medical services, anesthesia.
The system can be accessed from computer or any device connected to the Internet without having to set additional applications or software.
