State to provide subsidies to improve living standards in Moldova's villages

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - Subsidies in advance will be annually earmarked from the national fund for the development of agriculture and rural environment for the financing of projects on the improvement of the living and labour standards in the rural settlements. The conditions for providing the subsidies are established in a special regulation published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
Under the document, the value of the subsidies provided will be of three million lei at the most. To provide the subsidies, up to 15 of the value of the national fund for the development of agriculture will be annually allocated.
The money is to be used for the implementation of projects on the development of public infrastructure and services provided to rural residents, starting businesses in non-agricultural sectors and creating new jobs.
The document’s goal is to annually implement at least 50 projects on the improvement and development of public infrastructure, providing quality services to about 250,000 beneficiaries annually and development of at least 30 new businesses each year, which will generate over 130 jobs.
