Superior Council of Prosecutors to select candidate for Prosecutor General position

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/- On 20 November, the Superior Council of Prosecutors will select a candidate for Prosecutor General position. CSP Head Angela Motuzoc made the statement today. She noted that a short list from the Ministry of Justice was received with the names of the four candidates selected for this position and their applications.

At the today’s meeting, the CSP members approved regulation and candidate evaluation sheet and expected time to interview everyone.

The list of the four candidates selected following the contest started by the Ministry of Justice was sent to the CSP yesterday by new minister Fadei Nagacevschi. He said he recognizes the results of the contest, considering it legal, although his predecessor, Olesea Stamati, had canceled it early last week.

After tomorrow's meeting, the CSP will select a candidate from the four proposed names: Oleg Crîșmaru, Vladislav Gribincea, Veaceslav Soltan and Alexandr Stoianoglo, and will submit for approval to the head of state.
