Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/- The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) will put into circulation 7 jubilee and commemorative coins, as a means of payment and for numismatic purposes. The decision on the matter was published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.
The coins will be traded by the BNM or the licensed banks. The latter will be able to independently set the selling price of the coins, but will not exceed by three percent the price set by the BNM. Jubilee and commemorative coins are accepted as a means of payment in the national economy, at their nominal value.
The BNM decision entered into force today, with its publication in the Official Journal.
