Moldovan agriculture ministry says National Ecological Fund to finance projects for people's benefit

Chisinau, 06 December /MOLDPRES/ – The National Ecological Fund (FEN) will fund only those projects on which they work and which are for the benefit of people. The statement has been made by Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and the Environment, Ion Perju, in a press conference, held on Friday, 06 December, entitled: The capitalisation of FEN – realities and perspectives.
According to the management of relevant ministry, all the projects implemented and managed by the FEN will be monitored and evaluated, so that the money is efficiently used in the fields necessary for communities.
“We have projects launched in 2014, 2015, which worked very hard, with a responsible attitude, and where there was still the amount of MDL 01 – MDL 02 million left to invest. Here, of course, these programmes will have support and priority to be finalised and operational”, specified Secretary of State at MADRM, Dorin Andros.
In this context, Ion Perju has given assurances to mayors, who are waiting for the expected funding for 2019, that the ministry will urgently examine all documents and, as far as possible, remedy the state of affairs and carry out the planned payments.
For 2019, it was planned almost MDL 300 mln for FEN. As of 01 December, the available balance or unqualified amount has constitutes MDL 129 mln. Currently, FEN has included 279 projects under implementation.
