Moldovan president to pay visit to Moscow

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ – President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, will pay a visit to Moscow on 19 – 20 December, where he has scheduled meetings with President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, but also with the Gazprom leadership. The announcement has been made, on Monday, by the head of state at the end of a working session with Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Grecianii, and mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban.
According to president, in Moscow he has planned meetings with the head of the Russian church, Patriarch Kirill, but also with deputy PM, Dmitry Kozak. "In the same period in Moscow, it will be held the informal meeting of the CIS leaders as well as of the Eurasian Union (UE), where we have planned several meetings," said Dodon.
The head of state has reiterated that the subject of Moldova's gas insurance remains on his agenda and said that there are no risks that after 01 January Moldova will have lack of natural gas. "All scenarios are discussed and we are optimistic that Ukraine and Russia will find a common denominator," said Dodon.
PM Ion Chicu, who is on a visit to Strasbourg, was missing from the weekly meeting on Monday morning.
