Project from north Moldova, backed by Czech Republic, to be continued in 2020

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - The partners of a project on business development in the North Region, backed by the government of the Czech Republic, have established new priorities for the next year. The plans were set at a summing up meeting, held in Balti on 19 December.    

The participants in the event discussed the achievements got till present, as well as prospects for cooperation, both within this project and in the context of programmes for future.  

So far, a string of information sessions and three grants contests for small entrepreneurs have been organized within the project on business development in north Moldova. As a result, 30 small entrepreneurs have got grants worth up to 5,000 euros on behalf of the Czech Development Agency.

Also, the cooperation between the North Development Agency (ADR Nord), People in Need Moldova Foundation, public association, Pro Regional Cooperation, the Business Incubators from Soroca and Sangerei, Alecu Russo State University from Balti, within this project, is aimed at improving the conditions for backing startups and application of innovations by representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises from the North Development Region.      

The project, A new impetus to business development in North Development Region of Moldova, was launched in 2017. It is financed by the Czech Development Agency and implemented by ADR Nord, in partnership with People in Need Moldova and the public association, Pro Regional Cooperation.
