Euro, U.S. dollar appreciate against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - The single European currency and the U.S. dollar appreciate this week. The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) announced higher quotations both for the euro and the dollar for 16 January.

According to the official exchange rates posted by BNM, on 16 January, euro will cost 19.43 lei, by 0.08 lei more than today. The dollar will appreciate by 0.05 lei, up to a price of 17.43.

The Romanian leu will also slightly appreciate. BNM established an official exchange rate of 4.06 lei for the Romanian leu.

The value of the Russian rouble and the Ukrainian hryvnia will remain unchanged. The latter will cost, in continuation, 0.72 lei and the rouble will keep its price of 0.28 lei.
