Ninety seven businesswomen of Moldova to benefit from non-refundable financing

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 97 businesswomen from Moldova will benefit from non-refundable financing through the Women in Business national programme, co-financed by the European Union and managed by the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development(ODIMM).  

According to the information provided by ODIMM, the 97 businesswomen today signed contracts on non-refundable financing worth 12.35 million lei.

Estimations show that, following the carrying out of investment projects, about 230 new jobs will be created and 158 wage earners will be maintained and the cumulative investments in the national economy will amount to 18 million lei. Almost a half of the investment projects approved are from the processing industry, another 41 per cent will work in the services providing sector and ten per cent are from agriculture and animal husbandry field.

Attending the ceremony of signing contracts were more officials, among whom Economics and Infrastructure Minister Anatol Usatii. “The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry will further make efforts aimed at ensuring an attractive business environment and the development of support instruments, as well as of the entrepreneurial infrastructure. We will continue encouraging women to start business and contribute to the development of Moldova’s economy,” Usatii said.  

As many as 379 investment projects have been selected for financing through the Women in Business programme so far. The maximal value of the non-refundable financing in this programme is of 165,000 lei for each beneficiary.
