Moldovan cabinet assesses stage of carrying out works at Chisinau Arena

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today summoned a meeting, in order to take knowledge of the march of works to finish the construction of the Chisinau Arena. Attending the event were decision-makers from the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry (MEI), Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC), Finance Ministry, General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Public Property Agency (APP) and Chisinau city hall.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the people in charge of carrying out the actions presented to the PM detailed information on the current situation and the progress made on each dimension. Among the subjects tackled, there was the making of the ways of access to the complex, financing the works and the activities of the object’s final reception.  

The head of the enterprise managing the complex informed that, at present, the internal works had been carried out almost completely. For the moment, competent people carry out procedures of testing the systems and equipments, in order to verify the functionality of the complex’s infrastructure. In particular, the participants in the meeting considered the scenarios of fulfilling the ways of access, taking into account that Chisinau’s belt road is to be constructed nearby the complex.

In the end, the prime minister asked decision-makers to focus efforts on distributed activities, so that the Chisinau Arena complex is launched on 1 May 2020. ‘’This is a national complex, expected by sportspeople, artists and especially young people. You must meet the terms announced,’’ the PM said.
