Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, on a visit to Jerusalem, has had a meeting with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the presidential press service has reported.

Igor Dodon welcomed the positive dialogue between the two countries and spoke out for boosting it at the level of the two states’ top leadership. In the context, the Moldovan president ascertained with satisfaction the permanent dialogue established with his Serbian counterpart at more meetings held on the sidelines of international events, as well as the contacts set between the prime ministers of the two countries.

At the same time, the officials discussed the deepening of the commercial and economic relations, including by strengthening the cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry from Moldova and Serbia. In this respect, Igor Dodon noted that the bilateral trade exchange remained insufficient and needed to be turned to account at its true value.
