Oil importers of Moldova willing to provide farmers 8-per cent cuts in prices for diesel

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - Farmers will buy diesel oil at a low price on the period of spring agricultural works. The subject today was discussed at the Presidency, at a working meeting summoned by President Igor Dodon with the biggest oil importers from Moldova.    

In the end of the meeting, the president said that, at his request, representatives of oil companies from Moldova had expressed willingness to cut the selling prices for fuel by 7-8 per cent on the period of the spring agricultural works, which means 1.2-1.4 lei per one litre.

The head of state thanked the oil importers for receptiveness and support provided to farmers. The participants in the meeting also discussed subjects on the work of these companies, problems in setting prices for the oil products, including the establishing of the size of the excise duties on petrol and diesel.
