Moldovans entering country during emergency to pay for mandatory health insurance policy

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- From 1 April, during the state of emergency, Moldovan citizens and foreigners with residence permits in our country, intending to cross the state border at entry to Moldova and do not hold the status of insured person in the compulsory insurance system will pay the mandatory health insurance policy in a fixed amount. The National Commission for Emergencies decided this at the 31 March meeting.
"People who intend to cross the state border by air on the direction of entry into the Republic of Moldova will pay the compulsory health insurance policy in a fixed amount, including through Mpay system," the instruction No10 of the commission reads.
According to the document, people crossing the state border by land at entry to Moldova will fill in and sign compulsorily the Declaration on obligation to pay within 72 hours of the compulsory health insurance policy for 2020.
The General Inspectorate of Border Police will ensure checking of statements.
The cost of the compulsory health insurance policy is 4,056 lei. People who were insured individually by 31 March were able to buy a discount between 50-75 percent.
