Employees of Moldova's General Police Inspectorate to use body cameras

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/ - The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) has bought 100 body cameras, due to be used by policemen while fulfilling the job duties, in the context of the reformation of the police system according to the European model.
The IGP head, Vadim Cojocaru, today went to the subdivisions of the National Patrol Inspectorate, in order to deliver the consignment.
At present, the body cameras are in testing regime and policemen will be trained on their use. The employees of the patrol teams of the Chisinau municipality’s police department will be endowed with body cameras on the days to come.
The purchasing of the body cameras was possible with the support provided by the European Union, within the Police Development Strategy for 2016-2020.
