Rectifications made to state budget enter into force in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on the promulgation and the law on the amendment of the state budget law for 2020 today was published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) and entered into force.

Following the amendments, the state budget revenues will have a diminution of about 6.34 billion lei or 14.3 per cent against the ones initially approved and will amount to 37.798 billion lei. The cut in the revenues is triggered mainly by the decrease in duties and taxes, as well as of the incomes from subsidies.

At the same time, the expenses will increase by about 2.22 billion lei (1.6 per cent), by using instruments of the budgetary and fiscal policy and will stand at 53.773 billion lei.

The revised budget deficit is 15.975 billion lei.

The structure of the sources of financing the budget deficit will be modified, taking into account the changes coming from the entries of the new foreign loans, especially the emergency ones meant for combating the effects of COVID-19, including on behalf of IMF, Russia, World Bank, Council of Europe Development Bank.
