Moldovan top officials convened in meeting

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu participated today in a joint meeting with President Igor Dodon and Speaker Zinaida Greceanii. At the end of the meeting, Chicu held a press briefing, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Chicu approached the important events of the last week, and pointed out the assistance provided to Moldova by the governments of Romania and Hungary to combat the Covid-19 epidemic.

The premier highly appreciated the Moldovan doctors work. He said that the death rate caused by Covid-19 is 3% in Moldova, compared to the overall rate of 7%. The premier said that the government is focused on identifying solutions to economic recovery and communicates with representatives of banks and business associations. Actions will be taken to support agriculture and ensure food security of people, taking into account hydrological drought.
