Moldovan MPs to be tested for COVID-19

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs and employees of the parliament’s secretariat will be tested to establish the presence of the COVID-19 virus.
The decision comes after a lawmaker has been tested positive for Coronavirus, according to a statement made by the head of the faction of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM), Dumitru Diacov, in parliament’s plenum today.
At a recommendation by Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii, the MPs’ testing is to be carried out from lawmakers’ personal resources, while as for the employees of the parliament’s secretariat, a solution of covering the spending is to be identified.
