15 percent of all COVID-19 cases registered in Chisinau

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/- The head of the department for social assistance and health of the Chisinau city hall, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today at the online meeting of the city hall services that on 25-31 May, 201 new cases of coronavirus and 4 deaths were registered in Chisinau.

The official said that in the supervision of institutions subordinated to the department there are 17,056 people, who were in areas of high risk of COVID-19 infection, and 696 patients are treated at home.

Bucearschi said that 15% of the total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the Republic of Moldova are within the capital, for this reason, "the risk of COVID-19 infection remains high in Chisinau."
