Chisinau, 9 June /MOLDPRES/ - The European Union will support entrepreneurs from Moldova, in the context of the period of the crisis triggered by the new-type virus COVID-19 and provides grants to Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), through the EU4Business initiative.

The main goal of the measures carried out within EU4Business is to back the small business, taking into account the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national economy and regards three sectors.

The first one sees access to financing and markets – special conditions of predicting, provided in cooperation with Moldovan banks, as well as grants for SMEs in certain business sectors. The second field regards the anti-crisis assistance services for business, including online consultancy and training opportunities, sectorial educational and training programmes, consultations from recognized experts. The third sector sees benefits coming from the Free Trade Agreement with EU; it provides specific technical assistance to Moldovan SMEs, making sure that they can fully benefit from the free trade regime with EU.

EU4Business is an initiative of the European Union which provides support to SMEs from those six countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus), in order to fully carry out the potential and give an impetus to the economic growth.
