Moldovan government approves National Development Strategy Moldova 2030

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan government today approved the draft law on the approval of the National Development Strategy Moldova 2030 and is to submit it to parliament for consideration. The strategy’s goal is to visibly improve the living standards of people in Moldova, reduce the exodus of young people, enhance the investment attractiveness, create jobs all over the country and opportunities of personal development for young specialists.
The National Development Strategy Moldova 2030 is a document of strategic vision, which shows the development direction of the country and society for the next ten years, having at the basis the principle of the man’s life cycle, his/her rights and quality of life and includes four pillars of sustainable development, with ten proper long-term objectives, structured as follows:
1. Sustainable and inclusive economy
Increasing the revenues from sustainable sources and attenuation of economic inequalities.
Enhancing the people’s access to physical infrastructure, public utilities and conditions for living.
Improvement of the labour conditions and reducing the informal labour.
2. Robust human and social capital
Guaranteeing the quality education for everybody and promoting opportunities of learning during all the life.
Ensuring the fundamental right to the best physical and mental health.
A solid and inclusive social protection system.
Ensuring a balance between labour and family.
3. Integral and efficient institutions
Ensuring an efficient and inclusive governance, as well as the supremacy of law.
Promotion of a peaceful, safe and inclusive society.
4. Sound environment
Ensuring the fundamental right to a sound and safe environment.
The strategy Moldova 2030 is the document of reference for all policies nationaly, regionally and locally.
According to Prime Minister Ion Chicu, ‘we need the Strategy to inform the society and business environment about what goals we have. The society and the business need predictability and confidence in future and the Strategy must bring them. ‘’
