Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- The current parliament does not match the election results in February 2019 and should be dissolved.  President Igor Dodom made the statement today at the end of the traditional meeting with the country's leadership.

He said he is going to meet representatives of the leadership of the two ruling parties today to discuss the agenda of next actions. Among the topics to be discussed would be the scenario on how to dissolve the current Parliament, in order to hold snap polls.

The president noted that the next two weeks, the parliament standing bureau will be convened to decide the date of the first plenary session. He said that in a few days, the government will meet to approve a project to support farmers, which was recently approved by the IMF.
