Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today turned down the application on Andrian Candu’s registration at the presidential elections.

Five CEC members voted against Candu’s registration as candidate for the presidential polls. The reason invoked by the Commission members was dealing with the quality of the data put down in the lists of supporters presented. According to the CEC members, more data submitted contained errors. To be registered, Andrian Candu needed the personal data of another 218 citizens.

At the meeting, Andrian Candu said ‘’CEC does not observe the spirit of the law and that it superficially manages the electoral process.’’  Candu added that he would appeal in court the decision by the Central Electoral Commission.
