Over 12,000 people from Chisinau treated with COVID-19 at home

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- A number of 12,166 inhabitants of Chisinau are undergoing coronavirus treatment at home.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today at the online meeting of the city hall services that out of 927 seats in municipal hospitals, 663 are filled by coronavirus patients, including 202 in serious condition, 413 in medium condition and 48 in mild condition. "12,166 inhabitants of Chisinau are undergoing coronavirus treatment at home", the official said.

"Since 1 September, 190 cases of coronavirus have been found in schools and 41 in kindergartens. Most of these cases were found to staff and fewer children, "said Bucearschi.

In total, so far 46,596 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country. 34,636 people were cured and 1203 died from complications caused by the new coronavirus.
