Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today participated in an event of preliminary finishing of a road which connects the Costesti-Molesti villages, where he discussed with residents of the Molesti village, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The people appreciated the cabinet’s substantial involvement in the restoration of roads from the settlement. PM Ion Chicu said that the road’s repair would contribute to people’s necessary comfort, as well as to the attraction of economic agents.

„We have a request to the local public authorities to create all conditions for economic agents and citizens to work here. Roads are the principal elements for the region’s development and the government is set to come up with support for the people willing to work at home. We must create conditions for people; we should call relatives from abroad to invest here. I am fully confident that Moldova can be turned into a flourishing country only in this way,’’ the prime minister said.

The Molesti village mayor, Mihail Catana, stressed that the road would facilitate the access to the settlements Costesti, Hansca and Molesti and the residents enjoy a comfortable road in safety conditions.

„This was an incredible dream which has come true. This object is of major importance for the settlements and we are fully confident that it will contribute to the social and economic development of the zone. At present, we have recorded more requests on sales of grounds and construction of houses or industrial objects,’’ Catana said.

The restoration of the road segment, with a length of 4.7 km, started in last June. The project’s sum is about 22.3 million lei and 18 million was allocated for 2020.

The road’s construction is 90-per cent completed and works of construction of a bridge and a road of access to the Hansca village are to be carried out next year.
