Sociological company to carry out exit-poll at presidential elections' runoff in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - A sociological company from Moldova will carry out an exit-poll at the runoff of the presidential elections.

The Central Electoral Commission took note of a request by the Intellect Group sociological company and accredited 150 operators of this company to make an exit-poll during the runoff.

According to a representative of Intellect Group, Ian Lisnevschi, no opinion exit-poll has been taken in the last ten years. ‘’This is the first time when a Moldovan sociological company makes such a survey. The last exit-poll took place ten years ago and was held by a foreign polling company,’’ Lisnevschi said.

The secretary of the Central Electoral Commission, Maxim Lebedinschi, stressed that the data due to be collected by Intellect Group and which are to be made public, cannot replace the official data due to be unveiled by the central electoral administration.
