Moldovan electoral body accredited another 185 observers for runoff election

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/- For runoff election, the Central Electoral Commission / CEC / accredited 185 observers, including 162 national and 23 international.
41 observers from non-governmental organizations and electoral candidates were accredited in the polling stations open abroad.
The central electoral administration warns that the observers are not part of the lower electoral bodies, and their activity is not remunerated financially by the CEC, but by individuals who have requested their accreditation.
Observers have the right to attend all electoral operations, meetings of electoral bodies, including on election day, without intervening in the electoral process or other electoral matters and to inform the chairman of the electoral body about irregularities. They have access to electoral information, electoral lists, reports and photo and video shooting can be done by notifying the president of the electoral body, without endangering the secrecy and security of voting.
Accredited observers in the first round may continue their election observation and monitoring activities in the runoff. For the first round, the CEC accredited 2,197 observers.
