Deputy premier meets Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari today had a meeting with Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Anna Lyberg, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.    

The officials discussed a range of subjects on the Transnistria-related issues, including on topics contained in the so-called Berlin+ package, topical problems on the agenda of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue and the Moldovan government’s priorities in the field of the country’s reintegration policies.

Also, the sides tackled the future declaration on the Transnistrian dimension, due to be approved at a meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers in Tirana in the first ten-day period of December, as well as priorities of the OSCE chairmanship-in-office, which is to be taken over by Sweden in 2021.  

The officials expressed full openness and will for continuing the prodigious dialogue and deepening in various sectors of mutual interest.  

Taking advantage of the occasion, the deputy prime minister thanked the Swedish side for the constant assistance provided to Moldova in diverse fields. Cebotari also appreciated Sweden’s important role in the implementation of projects on strengthening the confidence between the residents from both banks of Dniester and on backing the settlement process.
