Gymnasium in Sangerei district optimized with EU support

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/- In Flamanzeni village, Sangerei district, the works to increase the energy efficiency of Iurie Boghiu gymnasium are underway with the EU support. The works started in October 2020 and are to be completed within 12 months.

A group of specialists of the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) monitored yesterday the execution of the works and found that they are in line with execution schedule.

As a result of energy efficiency measures, over 320 students and 30 teachers and support staff will benefit from improved education conditions and a comfortable study environment.

The total cost of construction works amounts to 16.94 million lei, of which 16.72 million lei represent the EU funding, through ADR Nord and 217,890 lei - co-financing from Sangerei District Council.

The investment measure in Flamanzeni village is financed by the EU in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova, implemented by the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany (GIZ) Moldova in partnership with the Ministry Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
