Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/- Penalties for desecrating graves will be increased today. The promulgation decree and the law amending some laws were published in the Official Journal and entered into force.
According to the document, today, the desecration of graves will be fined up to 47,500 lei or unpaid work from 180 hours to 240 hours or imprisonment for up to two years.
At the same time, the Contravention Code will regulate as a contravention the action of desecration of graves. The contravention sanction, according to the project will be up to 1,800 lei.
