Moldovan government approves programme on road fund for 2021

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/- The program on the distribution of road funds for national public roads for 2021 was examined yesterday at the Road Fund Council. Subsequently, it was approved at the government meeting.

Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Anatol Usatii said that the total expenses in this regard amount to 1,532,059.8 thousand lei. “Among the main works that will be covered from these resources are the reconstruction, repair of national public roads and engineering constructions, execution of design works, evaluation of roads and land procurement, procurement of equipment for testing laboratory of the State Administration of Roads etc.", the official said.

Thus, out of the total volume of road funds, 870 474.8 thousand lei are expected to be used for maintenance works of national public roads, including 351 670.8 thousand lei for routine maintenance.

Another chapter of the distribution of the means of the road fund presents the execution of the works of design, evaluation of the roads and procurement of the lands, in case of the extension of the national roads, for which the amount of 40,000 thousand lei is allocated. At the same time, for the implementation of contemporary standards for testing road materials and traffic record systems, the procurement of the equipment in the amount of 8,000 thousand lei is provided. The means of the Program also provide for the co-financing of the road rehabilitation works included in the program for regional development, in the amount of 60,000 thousand lei.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, among the roads to be built and rehabilitated in 2021 are: M5 Border with Romania - Leuseni - Chisinau - Dubasari - border with Ukraine, M5 Border with Ukraine - Criva - Balti - Chisinau - Tiraspol - border with Ukraine, M5 Border with Ukraine - Criva - Balti - Chisinau - Tiraspol - border with Ukraine, R21 Orhei - Bravicea, R26 Bender - Causeni - Cimislia and 12 other national roads. Also, eight new objects are to be repaired, among which: M1 Border with Romania-Leuseni-Chisinau-Dubasari-border with Ukraine, G27 R7 - Chetrosu - Moara de Piatra - Cubolta - R13, R15 M5 - Glodeni etc.
