Number of coronavirus infections in educational institutions in Chisinau down

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/- There were 167 cases of coronavirus in municipal educational institutions, down by 68 than last week.

Chisinau deputy mayor Angela Cutasevici said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that the number of COVID-19 infections in schools is decreasing.

Cutasevici said that only six children of kindergarten age are registered as having coronavirus disease. "In 13 kindergartens in Chisinau there are 438 children who are in self-isolation. No early education institution is closed, "Cutasevici said.

There are 130 educational institutions in Chisinau that teach 91,933 pupils and in 134 early education institutions there are 30,739 children enrolled.
