Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR) has started assessing the impact of some regional development projects previously implemented in the North Development Region from the sources of the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR). In 2021, the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of ADR North will audit ten projects.

The first visit of this year was paid late last week to Țaul village, Dondușeni district, where the representatives of ADR Nord discussed with the local public authorities about the measures on sustainability of the project Rehabilitation of the historical-architectural monument Pommer Mansion and the access road to the dendrological park in the locality, implemented by the Agency in 2013-2014.

Then, for Țaul project, 9.6 million lei were used out of over 26.3 million lei requested from FNDR sources. Thus, it was possible to build 0.293 km of metal fence, 2,807 km of wire mesh fence, renovate 0.387 km of historic fence and the central gate of Taul Park and restore the house-museum.

According to the head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, Ala Cucu, the reports set up by ADR Nord following the impact assessment of the implemented projects "will help us better understand how to implement future projects, what lessons to learn and what best practices to encourage and multiply".

ADR Nord is to work out a monitoring and evaluation report on impact and sustainability of the tourism project. The report will comprise conclusions and recommendations that will be taken into account in implementing similar projects.
