Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- The rehabilitation and extension of water supply system started yesterday in Fălești under the project Improving water supply services in Fălești, implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) and financed by the European Union.

According to the enterprise contract, signed in late November 2020, the works to improve the water supply services in Falesti are to be executed within ten months. The contract is estimated at 35.49 million lei, of which 3.31 million lei is the co-financing of Falesti city hall.

In late November 2020, ADR Nord organized in Fălești the reception event at the end of the works under the project Providing Fălești with water from Prut River 2, financed from the sources of the National Fund for Regional Development.

Thus, the water from the Prut River reached the tartar station in Falesti. The next goal is for the drinking water to reach the homes of the city's inhabitants. This is to be achieved in the new project funded by the European Union.

The investment measure Improving water supply services in Falesti is funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova, implemented by the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany (GIZ) Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
