Moldovan speaker convenes cabinet members in meeting on purchasing vaccine

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii summoned today acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, State Secretary of the Finance Ministry Tatiana Ivanicichina, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection Tatiana Zatic to discuss immediate actions to be taken to start purchasing the batch of coronavirus vaccine. Attending the event was speaker counselor Viorica Dumbrăveanu.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, Ciocoi informed that the necessary resources are determined for the purchase of a batch of about 1 million doses of vaccine. The procedures required for their procurement will start as soon as possible.

The speaker noted that it was very important that all procedures be completed as soon as possible and mass vaccination of all categories of citizens be launched as soon as possible. At the same time, it was emphasized about the need to ensure transparency and compliance with regulatory norms at all stages of public procurement.
