Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CCM) today declared unconstitutional the laws on pharmaceutical activity adopted on 16 December 2021.

Following five hours of consideration, the CCM judges set forth their opinions on the constitutionality of the laws on pharmaceutical activity passed on 16 December 2020. Thus, the High Court ruled that the laws are unconstitutional.

The aforementioned laws were regulating: the work of the drug stores with open circuit, placed in mobile units; delivery of medicines to people with severe disabilities at home; establishing a register of prices for compensated medicines; changing the methodology of calculation of the price; implementation of a national system of electronic prescribing of medicines; establishing the job obligation imposed to drug stores.

The two laws were adopted by 54 MPs of the Party of Socialists and Platform For Moldova. The lawmakers of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party, followed shortly afterwards by MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party and Democratic Party, appealed this law at the Constitutional Court.
