More than 1,600 drivers get fines in Moldova in last week-end

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - Over 1,600 drivers in the last week-end were documented by employees of the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP), for having driven with infringements. A number of 761 of these drivers exceeded the speed limit.
According to INSP data, also on this period, 40 drivers were driving drunk and 151 infringed the rules of stopping and failed to give right to way to pedestrians and other participants in the road traffic.
On the concerned period, because of imprudent drivers, 14 traffic accidents occurred in Moldova, in the wake of which 17 people were injured.
