Moldova's State Fiscal Service registers about 3,000 rental contracts in first two months of 2021

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The State Fiscal Service (SFS) registered 2,922 rental contracts in the first two months of 2021.  

According to the institution, as a result of measures of compliance and informing of private people who rent real estate about the obligations established by the normative acts in force as to the registration of rental contracts, held permanently, 1,024 private people who rent real estate were identified in Moldova.  

At the same time, the following payments were additionally calculated for payment to budget for 71 private persons who rent real estate: basic payments – 84.7 thousand lei, penalties – 11.2 thousand lei and fines – 13.3 thousand lei.

„We remind that, in accordance with the provisions of the Fiscal Code, the subjects of the taxation – private people who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and transmit real estate to possession and/or use (rental, lease, usufruct, superficies), pay a tax worth 7 per cent of the contract’s monthly value,’’ SFS said.     
The aforementioned people are obliged to register the contract at the State Fiscal Service in a term of three days after the contract’s conclusion. This tax is paid monthly, on the date of 25 of the current month at the latest, in the way established by SFS.
