About four per cent of parking places might belong to disabled people in Moldova, under law

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - The lawmakers might consider the establishment of a share of four per cent of the parking places for the people with disabilities. The parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family today approved a report on a draft law for the amendment and completion of the law on social inclusion of the disabled people and the Contravention Code.   

Under the draft, the MPs might introduce in the legislation a quota of four per cent of all parking places, but not less than two places, for the free of charge parking of transport means for the people with disabilities.   

Also, the commission suggests introduction of contravention sanctions for the non-observance by drivers of the international sign for disabled people on the parking places.

The legislative initiative was launched by the Party of Socialists and is to be considered in the parliament’s plenum.
