International treaties signed by Moldova to be monitored by government

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/- Government would get several attributions on the international treaties. A draft law to this effect was approved today by parliament's committee on foreign policy and European integration.

It involves the inclusion of two new components in the implementation of international treaties. Thus, it is proposed to set the obligation of the government to ensure the record of international treaties, through ministries and other central administrative authorities or other competent institutions and to assess every 4 years the topicality of international treaties.

Also, annually international treaties will be assessed, involving financial commitments to international and regional organizations of Moldova. Following the assessment, the government will inform the parliament about topicality, necessity and benefits of Moldova's participation in treaties involving financial commitments to organizations and will propose denunciation of international treaties that do not benefit our country.
